Forced Clock Out Process
Forced Clock Out Process
PrintMaintaining compliant timesheets is essential for every security company. We understand that guards occasionally forget to clock out, which can create compliance risks for providers. To address this, we’ve introduced a “Forced Clock Out” feature in the Mobile Timeclock. This feature requires guards to clock out of any previous shift they may have missed before starting a new one, ensuring that all required signatures, photos, and geo-coordinates are recorded and the digital sign-on registers remain compliant.
How It Works
Scheduled Shifts
- 5 Minutes After Shift End: If a guard hasn’t clocked out, the system prompts them in the app, asking if they’re still working or if they’d like to clock out.
- 6 Hours After Shift End: If the first prompt is missed, the system sends a second prompt with the same options. This allows the guard to confirm if they’re still on-site or guide them through the clock-out process if the shift has ended.
- Before Next Shift: If neither prompt is answered, the system requires the guard to clock out of the previous shift before starting a new one. This is a manual confirmation and does not automatically clock the guard out.
Unscheduled Shifts
For guards working unscheduled shifts, similar prompts will appear:
- 8 to 16 Hours After Clocking In: The app will display a prompt asking, “Are you still working, or would you like to clock out?”
- After 16 Hours: The guard will be required to clock out before going in to the next shift.
