Skill Matching is a feature in Guardhouse that helps ensure an employee has all the skills needed to do a certain job or fill a certain position. To set this, follow these steps:
- Go to Organization and select Company from the dropdown
- Click on Skill Matching
Skill Matching is broken into three sections:
- Skills- This is where you can set a list of expertise, talent, or requirement needed in order to do a job or task. Job skills allow you to make sure that the staff can do a particular job. You can set this up by:
- clicking the Add New button
- typing in the Skills that you require
- clicking the Save Changes button
- Compliance and Renewals- This is where you set the licences and compliances required of your staff. You can also set accreditations and certificates that people hold to make sure they are capable of doing a certain position or work. To set the compliance and renewals:
- click Add New
- enter the Compliance that you require
- add in the number of days you would like to be reminded of a compliance's renewal
- tick the Critical or Show to Customer boxes if necessary
- hit Save to apply the changes
- Role Template- This is where requirements are built based on the set of Skills and Compliance/Renewals inputted. You can set it up by clicking the Add New, filling out the fields, and ticking the information needed.
- Role Template Name
- Security License Requirement
- Select which compliance items are required
- Select which skills are required
- Hit Save.
After you set the Skills, Compliance/Renewal, and Role Template, you can apply these to a certain Site.
- go to Organization and select Site from the dropdown
- select the site and click on Role Template
- chose from the Default Role Template on Schedule the template that you would like to apply for the site
- hit Save Changes
You can set up the criteria on your employees' profiles to make sure they meet the needed requirements.
- check that the licence number is there if needed
- tick the compliance and the skills required
On the Schedule page, you can now follow these steps to schedule specific staff that meet certain criteria for a site:
- Click on the Schedule tab
- Select a customer
- Create a shift
- Set the Start and End time of the shift
- Under Role Selection, choose the template to be applied to the site
- Only staff meeting the requirements of the chosen template will show up under the staff list. Choose from the list of staff.
- Hit Save Changes
