Pre- Requisite: To create a shift, you should have an admin or manager access privilege.
Creating a shift
You can create a shift for a specific site and assign it to your available staff. Here are the steps for creating a shift.
- Go to the Schedule tab.
- Select the Customer that you would like to create a shift for.
- Click the + icon to add a shift on the site that you'd like to add a shift for.
- You can then see the shift panel where you can see the following information.
- Start time - the start time of the shift that you are creating
- End time - The time that the shift need to end. It can also be
- Close
- Required
- Service Selection
- Role Selection
- Rate Selection
- Staff Name
- You can then put a shift note. You have the option to show the note or hide it to your staff.
- Position note- this is where you can select the position
- Short note- information that you can provide to the staff when you publish the shift. This can have up to 1500 characters
- Long note- information that you can provide to the staff when you publish the shift. This can have up to 3000 characters
- Internal note- this can have up to 250 characters
- Customer note- This will be shown on the customer's end. This can have 1500 characters
- Invoice note
- Customer PO#:
6.Hit Save for you to be able to save the changes.
7. Once you are good with the shift, you can then click the Publish and Notify icon on the upper left hand of your screen to distribute the roster. You can select on the options below on how you would like it to be published. Then select Next.
- Publish the schedule by Person
- Publish the schedule by Site
8. You can then select the notification method that you prefer. This is how the roster notification will be delivered to your staff. You can then hit publish to finalize the shift distribution.
- Via email- Notification will be sent via email and that is free of charge.
- Mobile app- Notifications will be sent to their mobile phones via app notifications.
- SMS- Notifications will be sent to the staff via SMS message. ( Please note that there is a minimal charge on using SMS)

Copying a Shift
If you would like to use the same shift, you can click the copy icon inside the shift and paste it on the sites where you would like to be copied. You can then hit Save to apply the changes.
Reassigning a shift to other Staff
There will be some instances that you would like to reassign a shift to other staff. You can just simply click the shift that you would like to be reassigned, and you can then select the name of the staff from the left panel. Hit Save to apply the changes.
Deleting a shift
There are also cases that you would need to delete a shift. You can simply hover your mouse to the shift that you would like to delete and click the small x icon.
You will notice that the shift will change its color to red. You can then click save to apply the changes.
