To make sure that all shifts you need are filled, you can offer unassigned shifts to eligible and available staff. You can do this through the Offer Shift option.
Prerequisite: The Offer Shift option needs to be turned on in your company settings. If you can not see the offered shift option on your schedule page, please reach out to support@guardhousehq.com.
Below are the instruction on how to offer a shift.
- Go to the schedule page.
- Click Offer Shift Option.
- Click the shifts you would like to offer (You can also click Select All)
4. Select the name of the staff that you would like to offer the shift to, then click next.
5. Staff will be notified via the Guardhouse mobile app. You also have the option to add additional notifications through email and SMS.
6. You can tick 'Hire First Responder' which means that the first staff member to accept the shift will automatically be hired. In this instance, once they accept the shift it becomes fully published and confirmed (and will show as green on the schedule).
7. If you don't want to hire staff automatically, you will need to select from the list of staff that accepted the shift. You can view this list from the dashboard. In this instance, once you have assigned a staff member, you will need to publish the shift/s out from the schedule so that they can be confirmed by the staff member. Shifts that are assigned but awaiting publication will show as orange on the schedule.
