The QR Code Checkpoint feature lets you monitor and verify security guards' movement throughout a shift by scanning system generated QR Codes on site. It delivers real-time reporting which can be accessed through the Reports tab by Admin and Manager level users.

Enabling QR Code Checkpoints

To enable the QR Scan function for on the Guardhouse app, you'll first need to enable it on your account. You can turn it on by going to Organization > Company > Check Point Scanning > Enable QR Scanning.

How to Set Up QR Code Checkpoints

Once it is turned on, Navigate to Organization > Site > Locations/Checkpoints.

Click Add new and then add a name for the checkpoint.

You can set a geofence around the checkpoint. Click and drag the pin on the map to set it to a more accurate position. The pin will drop in the same point as the site coordinates for clock in as a default.

You can set the geofence range in meters using the text box once you've set your position. This will audit guard scans to ensure they were performed within the correct area.

Click Save to apply the changes/save the information.

Once the information is saved, you can generate a QR Code

Save the QR code and print it. You can then place this on site when you are ready.

Once the QR checkpoints have been assigned on a site, the guards can now scan them using their mobile app.

Reporting

Admins and managers can access two reports to view scans. They are both accessed in the Reports tab under the subheading "Checkpoint Reports".

The Checkpoint Report Excel, will export in excel format with Customer and Site information, checkpoints scanned, who scanned them, and when. It also verifies the GPS data against the coordinates set in the checkpoint setup. This gives you visibility to staff being at the checkpoints or not when scans are made.

The Checkpoint Report PDF exports the exact same information but in a format more suitable for presenting to clients.
