Reaching out to GH Support to help with data entry may not always be possible, especially when you're in a time crunch to have the data available on your GH account. To address this, GH has widened the scope of privilege a step further to enable better data management. You can now start uploading customer, site, and staff data to your GH account. Simply go to Organization > Company > Data Import. 



Data Import Files Available: 

  • Customer: This will allow you to bulk upload customers on GH. This will include the customer names only. Additional information about the customer such as address and contact person/s will have to be added under Organization > Customers. Here are the steps to follow: 
    • Go to Organization > Company > Data Import
    • Select Customers from the Import Type Dropdown
    • Make sure to use the Customer upload template. Download this and fill it out.
    • When done, import the file. Click Choose File then Import
    • Check under Organization > Customers the imported customers. Add customer details as needed.


  • Sites: This will allow you to bulk upload different sites for different customers on GH. Uploaded data will include the site name and the customer it should be attached to. Other site details will have to be manually added under Organization > Sites. Here are the steps to follow:  
    • Go to Organization > Company Data Import
    • Select Sites from the Import Type Drop Down
    • Make sure to use the Sites upload template. Download this and fill it out.
    • When done, import the file. Click Choose File then Import
    • Check under Organization > Sites the imported sites. Add site details as needed. Make sure that address is correct and a geofence is set up per site. 


  • Staff: This will allow you to bulk upload staff details on GH. You can upload the following details: 
    • First Name, Last Name
    • Email
    • Mobile Number
    • Employee ID
    • DOB (Date of Birth ex: dd/mm/yy)
    • Gender
    • Address, City, Country (State will have to be added manually), Post Code

                    

       Here are the steps to uploading staff details: 

  • Go to Organization > Company > Data Import
  • Select Staff from the Import Type Dropdown
  • Make sure to use the Staff upload template. Download this and fill it out. Please refer to the list above for the data that can be imported to GH 
  • When done, import the file. Click Choose File then Import.
  • Check under Organization > Staff the imported staff. Add staff details as needed. 


  • Document Upload (staff): This will allow you to upload staff documents such as certificates, contracts, etc of your staff. The aim of this feature is for you to have one repository of your staff documents (Organization > Staff > Staff Documents). Here are the steps to uploading staff documents:
    • Go to Organization > Company > Data Import
    • Select Document Upload from the Import Type Dropdown
    • Make sure to use the file name format (<Employee ID><space><filename>.<ext>)to ensure that the documents are uploaded.  
    • The employee ID can be found/added under Organization > Staff 
    • When done, import the file. Click Choose File then Import. Documents with incorrect file name format will not be uploaded and there will be a list to show them.
    • If the import is successful, go to Organization > Staff > Staff Documents > Employee Documents to check the uploaded files.
