You've created your invoice in Guardhouse and it's time to rake in the dough. Before you hit that download button, stop and go back to your Customers page, because gone are the days of manual downloading of invoices and attaching them to emails. You can now directly send your invoices from Guardhouse to your clients. Here's how: 

  • Contact the GH Support Team or your Success Manager and request that this feature be enabled on the back end for your company. 
  • When this is done, go to Organization > Customers. 
  • Choose a customer and click on Invoice Profile. Scroll down to the bottom and you will see the section Send E-mail Setup. Fill out the necessary details. Tick on Attached customer signed timesheet if you need to send this to your client as well. 

NOTE: To ensure customers have received your emailed invoice, CC/BCC your company account email. This can be one way of keeping track of all invoices sent out.


  • Create your invoice as normal.
  • You will have an additional option in the Invoicing section to Save and Send the invoice you created.

Q: Can I customize the email I send to the customer to include my signature?

A: Not at this stage. The email will come from info@guardhousehq.com and  will look as such:
