Can a company with a subcontractor use the subcontractor sharing feature?
No. Only companies that have Guardhouse can be linked to use the subcontractor sharing feature.
When the top company and subcontractor are linked, can the top company see the subcontractor's subcontracted staff?
No. The top company will not be able to see/know if a subcontractor is also subcontracting staff. The top company will only see the abbreviation they have set for the subcontractor beside the shared staff's name.
Can we allocate only certain people to receive notifications regarding any updates for a shared shift?
Yes. For the top company, go to Organization > Subcontractor > Select the linked subcontractor > go to subcontractor details > go to Linked notifications from customer and assign a person/s here.
For a subcontractor, go Organization > Customers > Select linked customer > go to Customer tab > go to Linked notifications from subcontractor and assign a person/s to receive the notification.
Can Role templates be shared from the subcontractor to the top company?
Not at this time. Role templates will have to be created on both the subcontractor and top company ends.
If a delegated site has a role template and the subcontractor shares/assigns a staff that does not meet the criteria for the site's role template, what is going to happen?
Ideally, the role template set by the top company will apply. In the scenario where the top company can allocate staff to a shared shift, only those meeting the role template criteria should show up in the staff lift for rostering.
In the scenario where a site is delegated, staff not meeting the role template criteria will still show up in the shared shift but there will be a heavy black line on the left portion of the shift as a way of the system giving the warning to double-check the staff allocated to the shift.
Why can't the top company see the shared staff's contact details?
This happens when the subcontractor decides to hide the shared staff's contact details (email and mobile number) depending on the agreement between the top company and the subcontractor.
The subcontractor said that the shifts have been shared but as the top company, we can't see the shared shifts. Why is this?
A possible reason is because the subcontractor has allocated the staff to the shifts but has not yet published the shifts or has not yet shared the shift updates up to the top company.
The staff has been shared by the subcontractor but when we allocate the staff and share the shift down to the subcontractor, the allocated staff disappears and a blank shift shows up on the subcontractor's end. Why is this?
A possible reason for this because the staff has two GH accounts. Determine which account is linked and retain that. Deactivate the other account.
Can the top company publish shifts?
No. Only the subcontractor can publish shifts. All publish shifts will show really time on the top company's end.
Can the subcontractor reject a shift / a shift with an allocated staff by the top company?
Yes. A note box will pop up where the subcontractor can indicate the reason for rejecting a shift or an allocated staff.
Can the top company delete a shared shift that has been published?
Yes. In this case, a notification via email will be sent to the subcontractor that a change has been made to the shared shift.
