A service rate, also called a service fee, refers to a fee collected to pay for services that relate to a product or service that is being purchased. In other words, a service charge is an additional charge for the service provided with the purchase of a product or service.


You can follow these steps in creating the service rates for your customers.

  1. Click Organization then select Customers from the dropdown menu.
  2. Select the name of the customer that you would like to add a 'Service Rate' to.
  3. Click the Service Rates tab
  4. Select Invoice calendar
  5. Add New Service


6. You can fill in the information needed

  • Name of the Service Group
  • Select the Days - Monday to Friday, Weekends and Public Holiday rates
  • Set the time - The time when the rates would take effect. Make sure that the date would be the same or before what has been set in the Invoice Calendar (Organization > Invoicing > Invoice Calendar) to avoid errors during the invoice generation process.
  • Service Rate Name
  • Service Rate ID
  • Charge

7. Hit Save to apply the changes.

8. You may add as many Service Rates as needed and set one as the default.
